Message from Executive Director

The proposed University of Southern Punjab at Multan is the first institution in private sector in Southern Punjab striving to promote higher education in the area that is utterly lagging behind in literacy race. Its establishment would prove blessing for the inhabitants of Southern Punjab.

The manifesto of University of Southern Punjab is to yield academic excellence and to provide its students with education of the highest quality in an ideal and conducive learning environment. As a motto, the University will develop a sense of responsibility, confidence, commitment and devotion towards the professions by grooming their personalities and combining in them qualities of visions, resourcefulness and initiative. The University will also endeavour to promote Islamic behaviour without any prejudice to other religions. The University maintains congenial, cordial and friendly atmosphere at its campus.

Education at the University addresses the fullest development of a person intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, physically, socially and culturally. The University promotes these goals by providing reasonable opportunities, suitable facilities and appropriate support services for the comprehensive growth of students.

The human race and its civilization is stepping in twenty first century anxiously to see the growth of knowledge and its flow. There shall be a greater need of imparting knowledge with deep compassion and with greater understanding of human problems. Knowledge is power and a double edged weapon. Its perverted use can prove havoc. The twentieth century has made enormous progress in the field of education, science and technology. With the result, the world has shrunk to a village. The electronic media has played a major role in this regard. The knowledge has gate-crashed and entered in our bed rooms. The influence of rapidly spread knowledge has revolutionised our lives with deep and enduring effects. The life stands completely transmuted and totally transformed. The education system, selection of curriculum and methodology is faced with big challenges to live up to the legacy what the passing century has left for us. We have not only to maintain the progress, rather we shall be required to excel. Therefore, the educational institutions, the scheme of studies and the teachers have to prepare themselves to measure up to the hope and inspiration of the new generation. The twentieth century has given us very difficult task to achieve.
Education plays pivotal role to provide yardstick and parameters to promote the growth of society and civilization in a constant process.

Viewing all the aforesaid antecedents, we have started new journey to meet the challenge of the day to enlighten the ignored area of Southern Punjab by establishing an institution of higher learning in the name and style of The University of Southern Punjab by launching multiple programmes of modern technology of IT.
