Finances play vital, crucial and pivotal role in creation, establishing, development and progress of an organization. Adequate finances are as much important as blood in human body for survival. No organization can dream existence on sound footing without working out the financial feasibility of the project. The establishment of university is a big and a gigantic project. Colossal investment is of paramount importance to begin with any sort of project whereas setting up project like university in private sector without any sort of grant in aid or subsidy and funding of any extent from the government is an uphill task.

The proposed University of the Southern Punjab is fortunate to be sponsored by the Marjan Educational Trust that is a non-profit, registered philanthropic organization. The Marjan Educational Trust has vast and practical experience at their credit of successfully running and organizing institutions of higher learning in Pakistan. There are a number of professional colleges affiliated with different universities are working under its keen and expert supervision. The sponsors of the proposed University of Southern Punjab Multan have committed initial amount of Rs. 30.00 million to invest in the development of first phase. This is a acute backward area in literacy rate therefore a large number of persons of different walks of life are ardently supporting the proposed project offering financial cooperation.

Funding sources of The University of Southern Punjab shall be as follow:-

Contribution made by the Marjan Educational Trust
Income from fee, donations, trusts, bequest, endowments, grants, contributions and all others sources.

The recurring expenses of the University of Southern Punjab shall be met form the contribution made by the Marjan Educational Trust and The IBADAT Educational Trust or any other sources including other foundations, Universities and individuals and from the income derived from tuition fees etc.
